Re: Kicker on 240 Pacific Cruiser

Grinder I might suggest one additional addition to your well equipped boat, a way of getting back on the boat if needed. I feel you need 3 steps under water and a grab bar on the transom. Mine is not the best design out there, if you look around on this and other forums you will find some very nice...

Re: Roof rack

Wow.... looks even better on the boat! Nice work! Only problem for me is that now I'm really liking those curved bar mounted aft rocket launchers.. Not only very functional for rod storage, but also adds a couple of real nice extra handholds in very useful area..

Re: Planar 44d

I know that I mentioned this before..... but will say it again.... make sure that your location for the thru-hull exhaust port is NOT in a location under a cleat where a fender will be melted... I made that mistake and ended up needing to have some "custom" cleats made which Hewes did for me at no c...

Re: truck repair

Ok... I know that this thread is getting a bit side tracked..... but I have to put my pitch in for the Chevy 2500 HD Duramax. I have 107K on my 2015 as of today and not one single issue. Even the original brakes are still over 70%.. I'll report back after the next 100K.

Re: Planar 44d

Any chance of someone posting a picture of one installed on an ocean pro? Not the Planar unit but the Espar on my Ocean Pro is pretty much the same type and size unit.. The main heater unit is installed behind the port sleeper seat back. Here's a link to some pics. http://www.hewescraftowners.com/v...

Re: Kicker on 240 Pacific Cruiser

Not sure about the space question, but I personally would go with a Suzuki EFI 15hp for your kicker option on a 24 pc... It's just a matter of time that all of the other main players..... Yami & Honda go with EFI instead of carbed on their kickers..

Re: Seattle boat show

There's a few folks from over on the Arima forum meeting up on the 28th at 6pm at Elysian Fields Pub to shoot the breeze... I know some of those guys so planning to attend that... Also, my office is right across the street at Union Station so I'm planning to buy the full pass for the $30 and then ta...

Re: Bow ladder ideas for a 22 searunner

Hey Eoin….. I would be seriously interested in pursuing this option and would very much enjoy working with you and the students again. I am envisioning a ladder that basically "hooks" over the bow rail and then has "stand-offs" with rubber or silicon bases to press against the hull to keep the ladde...

Re: Planar 44d

The stepover idea on the 2017 is an awesome addition IMHO.... Makes for easy access to the offshore bracket as well as enhanced access to the kicker. Plus, its a perfect fit for an Igloo cube ice chest which I use a LOT.... Plus, the stepover concept maintains the overall structural integrity of a c...

Yes you can but only for a short interval. Just to make sure your unit "sees" the transducer.
Agreed.... Once confirmed it is working, best bet is to do most if not all of your exploring of the unit is to put it into "simulator" mode.
