Re: winchesterbay oregon

Should be a great bay boat. Lots and of Pro V’s in the Columbia, mouth of the river and even in the ocean. The are very popular in the Nehalem River. If your buying new I would up the HP to a 150 and you won’t be second guessing yourself. I haven’t ever heard anyone say they have to much HP.

Re: Insulating fish boxes

I've been tossing around the idea of using foam insulating panels, caulking the seems and spraying with something like Flex Seal. This is the kind of panel I was looking at. There are also panels with higher R-Factors and greater density. https://www.homedepot.com/p/R-Tech-1-1-2-in-x-2-ft-x-4-ft-R-5...

Re: Folding Radar Stand for Hewes

Nice! I've got about 2" clearance above the Rocket Launchers when putting my boat under the carport and have been looking for a solution. I know a few people who have had work done by Who-Dat and all were very pleased with there craftsmanship.

Re: Under Helm Dash Power Source

I also have a question on wiring and power sources. I have two possible sources, the fuse box, first picture and a switch panel with two unused switches, second picture. Should the fuse box and switch panel already be grounded or would I need to use a ground from any device I chose to add? image1.jp...

Re: VHF/AIS Upgrade

Thanks all for the information. I do a lot of things half-assed but fishing offshore is not one of them. As Carl stated what is the sense in having an AIS system that only does half the job. I've decided to hold off an VHF/AIS and go with a standard VHF radio, save a few bucks, purchase a Radar unit...
