My owner's manual (do check yours as mine is quite a bit older) states tongue weight should be 5% - 10% of the gross trailer weight (boat, gear, trailer, etc.). If yours is within the recommended range, and you're happy with how it tows, you wouldn't need to do anything. ;)

There are a couple members here with a 250AK which should be close enough for comparison sake. Roll the Bones and Nevada Mike both have one and there may be others I can't recall at the moment.

On our 3rd Hewescraft, first was a 14' open fisherman/runabout, then the '06 Sportsman, and now the ProV which we'll have until we're incapable of using it.
