Re: Eastern WA Fires

We were at our place over the weekend. I didn't know fires had started as I was inside replacing a couple bath vent fans. When I hauled the old ones to the trash can in the boat barn this is what I saw out front... Hunters.jpg Was completely unaware a fire was burning so that was a shock. Winds were...

Re: Deck replacement

I shared what Hewescraft recommends for warranty purposes. Owners can do whatever they want. My fuel lines are inspected same time I service engines - annually. Since our boat is kept indoors when not on the water I've never inspected foam and have no intention of doing so. The fuel & vent line issu...

Re: Roosevelt Kokanee

I've read many reports the past few years of decent kokanee/rainbow in the Hunters area. Can catch them just about anywhere in reservoir, but generally, Sterling Point and below is most productive. Some years the fishery is good, others, all but non-existent.

Re: Deck replacement

Excellent post and good reminder for others!! Fuel Lines need to be replace more frequently than once every 13 years! Mine were in poor shape and I would think around the 7-10 year mark they will need to be replaced again. A master certified tech I know recommends replacing current USCG/EPA spec'd f...

Re: Under floor inspection

I suppose it depends on where you fish and how you store or keep your boat. I don't pull floor panels for routine inspection but have, on occasion, for other reasons and haven't had any problem reinstalling them afterward.

Re: vibration while trolling

Almost 19yrs on airfields while in the USAF did my hearing in and I wasn't an aircrew member or aircraft maintenance. I agree, sometimes it's a blessing and other times a real curse (like spending time with my granddaughters). Despite that, I have amazingly good low frequency hearing and can hear a ...
