I have heard this already folks...thought I would pass this along.........

BC Angling Post

I just talked to my supplier and he confirmed that there is going to be a limited supply of herring for the up coming season, so you better get it now! The price is going to be $6.40 for single trays and $5.40 a tray by the case. Cases run 36 packs per case. Call and place your order now 503-655-4161 9am to 5pm Monday through Saturday.

I heard the same thing. I will probably do the same as last year and get a case each of Green, Blue and Black. The fresh at Westport were a real disappointment this year. All season they were Red label size, anchovies were bigger.

I used Crowes (Puget Sound Herring Packs) last year and it was pretty good stuff. $4.50/flat for Greens, $5.00/flat for Blue and Black in case lots of 36 flats.

Sometimes, I can use the same bait all day for the early Columbia springer trolling....that should tell you how good it is...(the fishing , not my herring).

FWIW, I just picked up 20 trays of red label at Holiday sports in Burlington for $5.40 a flat. Bait looked great and fished just fine.
