That is a lot of power through a Salisbury Clutch, I think they were rated for 40hp Max. I would look for a Power Bloc 80. Easy to tune with washers for weight, same taper is available as the OMC engine the Salisbury came off of.

I did not find that information anywhere.
Does it strip the splined shaft or just slip the belt?
Really no other place to give that I can see.
As you can see in the exploded view here

Just looking for help thanks

Basically, you are trying to run 60-75 hp through an old 30 hp clutch. And not a very optimum 30 hp clutch at that. Failure could be splines/definitely that spring, sliding half. And there is No Adjustment available.

I would try to find a Power Bloc 80/Comet 102 at least. The PB 80, for it's ease of adjustment and easily maintained.

60 hp is max and up here it's more like 50 hp. But yes that what I'm trying to do
I have to proof the system before I sink $500 in to a new clutch. Yes defiantly if it works and I up grade the motor.

Yes, definitely try your set up, but as I have experienced from Mud Buggies, the Drive system is usually the weak point. Starting out with the Salisbury, just might cause more head aches in the future, most clutches now are Overdrive, so Driven would have to be changed, and finding the same Taper.

Keep your eyes open for a used Liquid Cooled sled clutch. A RSSR, or even a RSS Bombardier, can be found for $25-100, with the same 30mm taper. A used Comet 94 would be around $100. Both are non overdrive.

I may still have a RSS from a SS Citation, it is a 50 hp clutch but is in great shape bushings wise. Let me know how it works out for you.

I did a no load, no prop today.
All looked good. The clutch started to move at around 1800rpm.
I did not have my laser tack on the hub but it looked slower then the drive.
It starts out at 3x1.
As I increased the motor RPM the clutches both moved, as expected, the clutches
Topped out at 3000 RPM, right where I was hoping.
I should be like .70x1 there ,I would guess around the top end for the prop, 3100RPM.
I didn't run it long but It was quiet and smooth and looked to be running true.
