Side Load Guides Attachment Fix

For those who have also become irritated with the not-so-great, ever-loosening, lag screw attachments of the side load guides to their brackets, I believe I have found a better way.

These 5/16" threaded inserts are about an inch long; I got them at ACE Hardware. I drilled out the lag screw holes to match the diameter of the inserts and screwed them in. One could also epoxy them in (I didn't). Then 1" stainless steel 5/16" machine bolts with some blue Loc-Tite.
