Good news is the boat is done, will be picking it up tomorrow.

Clemens reports they went through everything with the guys at the Hewescraft factory advising them. E-valve was replaced, fuel fittings at the front of the tank were pulled, inspected and re-sealed, and everything is now back together. It is venting as it should, according to their pressure tests.

Missed a great fishing day, but I have to say I am thoroughly pleased with Hewescraft and Clemens support on this (though maybe not so much with that Perko carbon canister!).

Happy to hear this was resolved! Your experience with Hewescraft mirrors mine and that of many, many owners. 8-)

Following up on this... tank was still pressurizing pretty high last week, with a big whoosh and "bong" sound when the cap was opened if the boat had been sitting in the sun. I am experimenting w/ an 18" or so section of 5/8" marine fuel line, a brass 5/8" hose mender, and some stainless pipe clamps. It now appears to be venting just fine. :D

No more problems now Steve. As soon as my filter packets it in, it to will be thrown away and piped straight through. There is absolutely no common sense reason to have that there other then disapating fuel smell at the back of the boat
