Test Driving Ocean Pro 240

Unread post by jjveleber »

I am looking to get an Ocean Pro 240 and want to actually ride in (if not drive) before spending this large sum of money. I judge that it would probably work out fine if I didn't, but it is a risk. The problem is that the dealerships don't have any available for test driving. They would need to be rigged (enough for a test drive) and the dealerships want a deposit to make this happen.

What advice can you give me around this?

Is there anyone available in the pacific northwest that would be open to showing off their boat for me?

I appreciate any feedback you can give. Thanks.

If you find yourself at the alternate ferry launch, near the booming metropolis of Keller, on any given Sunday, your more than welcome to check out a 220.

Location might help others.

Thanks, Nate. I live in Lynnwood.

I assume you mean the Keller on 21, yes? I don't know where the alternate ferry launch is there. Google maps doesn't show it or I can't find it.

When you get off the ferry from Wilbur, up the hill, pass the outhouses. A couple hundred yards. First road on the right. I generally go early. Off the water around 1 ish. Stupid work, gotta start at 1am.

Wow. 1am, that's early Nate. While this is a very generous offer (that I may still take) I think I am going to see if there are others a little closer that can meet in daylight hours. :D Thanks, Nate.

Sometimes my posts make sense to me, then I reread them the next day and they don’t make much sense. What I meant to say is I try to get out once a weekend. Either Saturday or Sunday. I fish during daylight hours. Just have to quit a little earlier on sundays. Hopefully you can find something a little closer in the 240 size. If not, let me know, and your welcome to check it out.

That makes sense, Nate. Thank you for the clarification.
