I'm posting this here for Chuck and anyone else who might have questions about PM and email icons.
screenshot.jpg
The area circled in red is the member's user info panel (where one can place an avatar picture if they choose) and member forum stats and additional information. It is also where the PM and email icons are found. Clicking on the PM icon (green arrow) opens the private message screen while clicking on the envelope opens the email screen. Using either one a member can send messages to forum members by typing your message and then sending the message.

One thing about private messages, you can send a private message to anyone, but you cannot make them read it. If you send a PM to someone and it remains in your outbox, that means the member has never read it.

Is there a way to contact a member directly with an e mail. I would like to contact sea dawg and talk with him about hauling a boat over the pass and how he protects it.
I did post a reply to his post, but some time it's more productive to talk directly.
If it's not appropriate please let me know.
Enjoy the forum

Normally newly registered users have to acquire 10 posts before full features are provided, but have granted those features to any new member who contributes to the forum. I went back into the group settings and found I missed checking the activate PM feature. You were the second new member who donated to the forum and couldn't use the PM feature. Made me double check the group settings, and sure enough, I missed checking the box to activate PM feature.

You should now see the envelope and PM icons below your user info panel and be able to send/receive PMs to/from any member except those in the newly registered group (orange usernames). ;)

Hi to everyone,

I'm taking delivery of a new 210 Sea Runner ET/HT this week on Thursday. I just sent a donation and did not list my user name Durminty! So after reading the instructions before I made the donation I decided to go in and leave this post. I live in Upper Michigan close to lake Superior, and my girlfriend and I live in the wilderness, love to hunt and fish and raise our Rhodesian Ridgebacks, we currently have 16 of them and 6 pups just over a week old. I own an industrial sewing business and we are planning on making accessories for our boat as well, window insulation and covers, along with a fishing cockpit awning. I will post pics when I have them. We are so excited to be Hewescraft Owners!
