2015+ NADA Guides

Unread post by NovaCX12 » Mon Nov 04, 2019 7:58 am

My boat was on the market here in CA Jan-Mar of this year. I plan on putting it back in the market Jan 2020. Trying to sell the boat was not the problem. Plenty of interest. The banks could not find used boat pricing for my 2016 SeaRunner which stopped potential buyers from getting a loan. I have sent an email to Hewescraft to request they send NADA guides some form of used boat value for their hulls so folks can get a good estimate of what value our boat are holding, and for banks to look at when evaluating used boat loan requests.

If anyone is wondering, still love the boat. Just want a 2005+ Seaswirl Striper 2101 WA w/ an outboard - which seem extremely hard to find for sale.

I feel your pain. I have been doing some shopping for a new hull and ran into the same issues. There are just so few used hulls out there that its hard for the banks and dealers to assign a value to them. It almost seems like nobody wants to get rid of their hewescraft for some silly reason. :D

If you go to the NADA for boats website it shows on the left side the top 50 boats. On the right side of the page is where you will find the "rest" of the boats. There are 1,860 boats listed and Hewescraft is on the list. Give it a whirl.

That's correct but the listings stop with the 2014 model year which was before 190 and 210 SeaRunners were available. I tried it for our ProV and can't even input factory options that would affect valuation.

Here is what I got back from Hewescraft. The bank that a potential buyer can call Hewescraft and get a used price for the Hull, everything else is dependent on motor, hrs, electronics, etc.

WAY back in '03 when I got my sportsman...
The DMV licensing division had NO listing for a Hewsecraft with an inboard jet.
After a week of research, they said, I got it registered as an aluminum hull personal watercraft...
Not a big deal but we do have some restrictions on "personal watercrafts" meaning jet skis, on certain waters.
We have no Coast guard here, but the fish and game wardens all say " They know the difference between a jet ski and an 18-foot boat", we will see.
