New to me Sportsman 200

Unread post by danchmp »

Hello,
I would like to start off with thanking everyone for all the great information on this site. I recently picked up a used 2010 Sportsman 200 in great shape. It is paired with a Optimax 150 with 206 hours. I have looked at these boats for a while but could not make the 3500 mile round trip to get one. Lucky for me one came up for sale in Texas so 20 hours later i a proud new owner. Im from Alabama and purchased it to do some Catfishing tournaments. First tourney was this past Saturday and took 2nd place with 130.5lbs so maybe it is my new good luck charm. So this is just me saying Hi and thank you in advance for all the questions I may be asking in the future.

Runs pretty well. I need to dial in a good prop but she will do 47 at 5000 rpm fully loaded with the top up. I will post some pics soon.

Great looking boat! I am very familiar with North Alabama, and the Sportsman will do great on the Tennessee River system! It will be really great to have the high sides and a nice top in Alabama weather. Looks like you have the catfishing really dialed in. Welcome to the forum.

Great boat, rare in the South, as far as I know, catfish and hush puppies, yum, yum
