I know a little bit about the Lakes back there, I guided part-time on the tribs of Lake Ontario.....between deployments back in the late 80's-early 90's

Interestingly, the original stocking of Steelhead on the Great Lakes came from.....the Chambers Creek Hatchery on the Puyallup R...couple miles from the house I grew up in.

My joke back then was within 2 day's of being stationed at Ft.Drum in upstate NY... ( drove my Jeep from Wa.)...I had already caught my first batch of Washigton state Steelhead, on North Sandy Creek in New York, on eggs I brought with me from Chehalis R silvers I caught a week earlier.

Later the lakes were stocked with our Skamania summer-runs and also a strain from Ontario's Ganaraska River.
