Talked to Brian (Forum sponsor BK Marine Services) yesterday and our Planar is on the way. Will be dragging the boat home before end of July, bye, bye propane. ;)

Chose the 2d since we don't have a large cabin to heat and defrosters are my primary goal. Bought the single cylinder Buddy type heater for our Sportsman and kept it when we upgraded to the ProV. Have always used the low setting and has been more than sufficient and comfortable (except for combustion moisture). Really looking forward to the change.

Be prepared to spend more time on the water. Too cold is always an excuse to go in. That warm dry heat is very comfortable!
