Captain Crunch.

Unread post by aMonster »

My first skeg signing. I was backing up using the kicker motor when this rock leaped out of nowhere right in front of my big motor.

Should I do anything about this? I've heard of people rounding off chips with a file and painting but... perhaps that is for bigger damage than this?

Al, if it were me, I would touch it up just a little bit with a file and paint it just to make it look a bit nicer cosmetically. Coulda been a lot worse so no big deal really.

I thought that is the way they are supposed to look. At least it matches mine.

Ha!, I think the really clever people shape it like a custom sculpture to hide their booboos.

That's exactly what I'd do!! Maybe the Dremel instead of a file...

I lived in San Diego for 20 years and surfed all the time. Started shaping my own fins. Looks like your boat will be a little looser off the top. :D
